Maresa Segura
Therapist and Advanced FIT Practitioner
I'm a Naz Award-winning BACP Accredited Therapist and Advanced FIT Practitioner providing a range of psychological therapies and services in the digital space and in person.
I use an integrative approach to work with individuals facing a variety of challenges in their lives, including: relationship, sex and family issues, anxieties and breakdown, work and professional stress, anxiety and crisis management, LGBTQIA, minority and discrimination issues, self-confidence, self-esteem and anxiety issues, alcoholism, drug dependency, sexual, relational and other addiction problems, eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and other food dependency issues.
I work with people who have been shamed and stigmatised because of their sexuality, ethnicity, their culture, race, religion, HIV status, background and education. Many also face misunderstanding within their social contexts when grappling with the symptoms of drug, alcohol, food, sex, gambling and work addictions.
My ethos is about serving communities and people in a non-judgmental way. I offer an integrative whole-world approach, putting the client, not the theory or philosophy, first. I value honesty and integrity in terms of seeking the best outcome for the client. I follow all relevant professional and ethical guidelines.
I believe in supporting people in their journey towards mental, emotional and spiritual well-being by nurturing the human potential for strength, hope and healthy interdependence.
