Meet Abi – Where Calm Begins: Yoga and Nervous System Support at The Mindful Practice
Abi is a qualified Vinyasa and Yin Yoga teacher (RYT 200 & 50hr Yin) with a passion for using yoga as a powerful tool for relaxation, self-awareness, and emotional wellbeing. Her teaching is grounded in a gentle, accessible, and trauma-aware approach, supporting students to reconnect with their bodies and regulate their nervous systems through mindful movement, breath, and stillness.
With a calm and supportive presence, Abi creates space for people of all levels to move intuitively and adapt poses to suit their individual needs. Her classes invite a return to the body as a place of safety and connection, fostering deep rest and inner listening.
In addition to her yoga training, Abi holds a Master’s degree in Neuroscience and a Bachelor’s in Clinical Psychology. She brings this knowledge into her teaching to highlight the link between yoga, mental health, and nervous system regulation. Drawing on both modern science and traditional energetic frameworks, Abi’s classes offer a rich, integrative experience—blending Eastern philosophy and Western understanding to support the whole person.
